I was thinking about a new BTS game for a while, even before the crash. Better we wait until all are duly patched for a new BTS game, e.g. until I can get the bloody patch, which should hopefully next thursday when I'm ensconced in a hotel.

Are people interested in more Civ? Creating a vice-admin position, or locking the P/W up in a time capsule might be an idea. Thought I don't expect any more patches, I didn't expect this one tbh!

I'd be on for another civ game, perhaps for future games we could create a new account (password holder) and pm the game password to them. That way if its needed we can just access their account and retrieve it.

If people want to try something different I'll happily setup another browser based game if people have any suggestions.

Not to worry, your game joins the illustrious ranks of the undead monsters. Doomed to sit idle forever, unresolved with only glacial-speed first game, fall from heaven game and dictator's game (*sniff*) for company. :D

Rev,Me,Nog,Justice and I think BB intimated to me that he'd be in the hat as well. That's enough for a game. I'll be off the ol' rust bucket on wednesday, ensconsed in Ipanema hotel on thursday where I'll have a reasonable wifi connection at an unreasonable price.

I could set up a game then at latest version if nobody has objections?

Personally I'm thinking two options for game.
A) five player FFA as per usual, since we have a murderous modern era pangaea map raging already, I'd probably opt for a return to roots game, archipelago with stringy continents, classic era start with plenty of advanced start points.

B) If Max wanted in, we could try a 2v2v2, perhaps one of the special MP maps like team battleground, modern start, permanent war. Bonus points awarded for thermonuclear temper. Might be hard to balance teams, maybe (Me+Rev) V (Max+BB) V (Justice+Nog)?

Well, I haven't settled on anything definite yet. I tested a few of the mods, and they don't really work in our situation. I liked the idea of Next War but I don't seem to be able to use it as anything other than a strictly defined scenario for PBEM and that case limits it to 4 players with huge empires which would be shit I think.

The other one I tested was Broken Star, the post soviet collapse scenario which is better but it'd be mostly fighting barbs by the look of it and there's only a few different unit types (infantry/mech infantry/modern armour/infanry II/mech infantry II/Modern armour II etc.) and limited tech.

Besides all that, we already have a game bursting into the modern era, and I think it might be nice to go back to swords and wooden ships. Not all the way back to learning how to build road and that. don't worry.

since its 6 players (I hate to exclude anybody, and since they're darkkeep's finest...) I think 2v2v2 is the best, and hey, at least its a little different.

I'll get everything figured out tonight and post the turn tomorrow hopefully.

I never thought to ask about preferred civs, so I'll stick everybody, myself included, on random. If I get freddy, I swear it was just the dice.
