The new forum software has changed things somewhat with respect to posting attachments.
At present to when you reply to a thread the (default) view is the standard editor which provides basic editing functionality only, to insert attachments you need to press the "Go Advanced" button.
Attachments can then be added by pressing the button or the "Manage Attachments" button in additional options. This will take you into the new attachment management page from which you can add attachments using the "Add Files" button.
You can alter this behaviour to reduce the number of steps by updating your "setting" and selecting "Forum Setting".
From there you can change the Message Editor Interface to Enhanced Interface and disable the Enhanced Attachment uploading.
I'll look into it in more detail later and see if there are other ways to streamline the process.
I’m starting to get desperate in my seemingly hopeless search for a decent non-carebear MMORPG with good content and PvP.
It’s a genre which now a days seems totally void of even a smack of originality or substance.
You only need to look at the swords and sandals clones repeatedly getting issued to see why WoW has managed to so effortlessly maintained its stranglehold on the market.
My current hopes are pinned squarely on Jumpgate in the belief that perhaps it can provide the fix I seek.
Assuming they can couple the "everything goes nature" of Eve's PVP with the first person perspective of Elite it has the potential to be awesome. Eve always seemed a little detached for me, but otherwise it is an excellent game.
And since its never a good thing to have your hopes in one basket, I can say I was a happy chappy when I chanced upon Black Prophecy.
It seems quite similar to Jumpgate but is free to play, though a micro payment model could perhaps introduce a risk of pay-to-win if they go that route. But I guess that's not much worse than the those with no lives having the advantage in the typical grindfest most MMORPGs fall victim too. Again something Eve largely does away with with its offline skill training.
Another one to keep an eye on and not a hobbit in sight. Though if anyone else has suggestions for things to look out for, don't be a stranger...
