Anyone else having lots of crashes

Post by Maximilian »

I wince every time I change zone. I had the game crash about 4 times last night, hanging on the loading screen. I was just wondering if any of you guys are having the same problem.

Yes the last few days ive had 4 crashes or lockups.

3 were while zoning and one was just a random crash as i was moving about in tartantia.

I've been getting out of memory crashes... I'd just be running along minding my own buisness then BAM! It crashes on me. Though i have 4Gig @DDR2 800Mhz etc. Odd :/ Checked resource manager and it seems i still have 1.2G to spare.

I think they may have fixed the zoning bug as it didn't happen once this evening.

I also found a workaround for the out of memory error - it worked for me any way:

1. Windows Vista 32-bit go to Start.
2. Go to "All programs"/ "accessories" click "system symbol" ms dos, CMD
3. Click with right button and select "execute as administrator"
4. just write this in cmd: BCDEDIT /Set IncreaseUserVa 3072
5. Press enter to execute command.
6. when you have confirmation (Instantly) close the window and restart Windows.

Removal

1. If you want to undo this, just go back to step 4 and write /deletevalue increaseuserva
